Looking for a walk?

Looking for a walk?

We like to think that each of our walks are unique and exciting, and whichever walk you join it should offer you a great day out exploring. Maybe though you are looking for something particular to do; with your family, if it’s raining, or just different. We’ve grouped together our walks in the hope that you can choose a great day out, whatever you’re looking for!

And don’t forget that if you have any questions on the walks, or suitability for your group, then you can always contact us and we’ll aim to get back to you as soon as we can.

When it is raining

raining

Don’t let the rain ‘stop play’.

Don't let the rain stop you from getting outdoors, and as long as it's not torrential, then there’s still some great walking to enjoy. Walking on good paths and tracks we can still enjoy the sights and sounds on our lower level walks. A walk beneath the Central Limestone Arch, or up to the Moorish Hill Fort of Comares, are all possible when the wet stuff falls from the clouds!

Challenging

challenging

To the roof of Malaga or Cordoba.

If you don't mind an early start, and most probably a late finish, then we have two fantastic walks not to be missed!. Although not technically difficult, each walk has an almost continuous ascent to the summit with a lengthy walk in and out. La Maroma (2069 mtrs) and La Tiñosa (1570 mtrs) are, respectively, the highest mountains in Malaga & Cordoba.

With the family

family

Great walks for all the family.

Enjoy some time together, in the great outdoors, on one of our shorter walks. Nothing too difficult, on well defined paths and tracks, this is a perfect way to get the family out exploring. Enjoy our Comares Evening Walk, as well as our shortened Jurassic Landscapes Walk, and if you want some more excitement then El Torcal at Night Is ideal!

Relaxing

relaxing

Nothing too complicated.

Sometimes you just want to grab a few hours of walking, something that’s not too difficult or complicated, and gets you out in the fresh air. A walk that takes you through changing scenery and a glimpse of far off places. Our Comares Evening walk is a perfect way to get out for an hour or two, and the shortened Jurassic Landscapes walk is just a delightful way to spend half a day.

Exhilarating

exhilarating

Get the heart pumping.

We have a great mixture of walks that will certainly get your legs working and the heart pumping. Scrambling on the summit ridge of Chamizo, a quick descent of the Arabic Steps beneath vertical rockfaces, climbing the three gruelling peaks of the Tajos de Gomer, and even a scramble and caving at Cuevas de San Marcos. Any one of these make a memorable day out!

Sightseeing

Mixing it up a little!

Enjoy a day of walking that includes a stop to explore small villages, ancient landmarks, and even a swim in the sea! Our Teba Castle and Jurassic Landscape walks includes a stop at Antequera, the Pass of Zafarraya walk includes a castle, cave and a Land Rover tour, and ensure you bring your swimming wear for the Watchtowers walk.

"The walks each day differed from day before which added to the experience, being shown quaint villages to enjoy the sights, the food and coffee was most enjoyable."

"Four days on the GR 249 Gran Senda de Malaga and one day to the base camp of El Chamizo. Phil kept the pace within my own limits (slow but determined) and had frequent "admire the view" rest periods."
